As the leaves begin to change color, and pumpkin patches spring up on street corners, one can see that the fall season is quickly approaching. Halloween and Thanksgiving are two holidays that indisputably take place during the fall. One can argue that the fall season offers some of the best weather, scenery, and backdrops for a beautiful seasonal wedding.
Theme, decor, and venue are all essential parts to planning a seasonal wedding. You cannot have one without the other, and usually, when you figure out one part, such as venue, the other parts will fall into place. The color palette can make a big impact on the theme. Your colors are an element that help tie the theme of the wedding together. Some colors that are popular for fall weddings are chocolate, orange, purple, red, and cream. Whether it be the bridesmaid’s dresses, the flowers or the table decor, darker earthy tones are most prominent.
If you choose to have a fall wedding, you can go the indoor elegant route or the outdoor rustic option. Either way, the elements of the fall season can appear in both types of weddings. Those who choose indoor weddings can decide to go with bold centerpieces such as candelabras and extravagant leave pieces in order to incorporate the fall season. Those who choose to have their wedding outside already have the environment to give their wedding that rustic feel. Bold floral stem arches are in demand for outdoor ceremonies, as well as countryside harvest settings. Candles in mason jars provide a great visual at any table for that natural rustic vibe. Pumpkins and haystacks can also be a part of the decor while still keeping the wedding sophisticated and refined. Colors, flowers, and decor can make any wedding scream fall.
With all of the different ideas and tastes, every wedding is different and unique. The fall season offers a lot of decor options, and it can be easy to overwhelm your wedding with everything fall, so make sure to add your personal touches and individual preferences to create the wedding of your dreams.
It is October 1st and Fall Bridal Fair season is in full swing!
We have enjoyed getting to know our newly engaged summer brides at each of our bridal shows this past September. If you are having your wedding this fall be sure to look for some natural fall inspiration for your decorations and catering menu.
Incorporating natural oranges and browns on your wedding day can make for the perfect fall color scheme. Also, don’t be afraid to add some pumpkin or apple spice to your menu.
Our suggestion of the day to add to your FALL Wedding drink menu is a
Spiked Apple Cider Cocktail
1/4 gallon apple cider
1/2 cup dark rum
1/2 cup cinnamon schnapps
1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, cut into large chunks
1/2 lemon, juiced

On Sunday August 10, 2014 future brides and grooms made their way to the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA to enjoy what this years bridal expo had to offer. As the happy couples made their way into the ship, they were welcomed by an array of booths and wedding decor as they embarked on starting their wedding preparations.
Whether it be the venue, food, music or decor, it was as if the Queen Mary was a one-stop shop for all your wedding needs.
Whether the bride and groom were looking to have a local or destination wedding, there were various companies to cater to all the couple’s preferences. One hotel that was showcased at the expo was the Doubletree Hotel. They have locations throughout the world. Representatives from the Doubletree were ready to give you information to help you book your wedding.
Some booths that seemed to attract the crowds were the photo booths and cake companies. The photo booths offered an interactive experience by letting you use their props and take pictures. These pictures were available within minutes. As you walked by their booth, they were eager to explain their services and experiences. Katella Deli and Hansen’s Cakes were two bakeries that showcased their wedding cakes. While Hansen’s Cakes passed out tiramisu cake, Katella Deli opted for red velvet cupcakes.
As you made your way downstairs, numerous jewelry and accessory vendors displayed their products. Companies such as Origami Owl, My Bridal Ring, Stella & Dot, and Mary Kay gave the bride a chance to try on their jewelry.
Several flower consultants also displayed their elaborate flower arrangements. Whether you were looking for big or small, centerpieces or bridal bouquets, it was all there. Photographers, videographers, and wedding consultants also made their way to the Queen Mary.
If you did not find what you were looking for, all couples could turn to L.A. BRIDAL Premier Wedding Planning Resource to help all brides make their wedding planning easier.
Although planning a wedding can be stressful, events such as the Bridal Showplace Queen Mary Bridal Show makes the process fun and enjoyable.
